Age of Empires: Pocket PC Edition uses Install Shield, and installs like any other standard Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC application. Due to large size of the game, installs are divided into five pieces: main game, campaigns, scenarios, user manual, and intro video. Only the main game need be installed to play. But to access the other components (e.g. scenarios, campaigns, etc.), they must each be installed separately using Install Shield. For Windows Mobile based Pocket PC devices with memory card slots, the game or any of the components can be installed on a memory card to free up main memory. Individual components can also be deleted after installation to save space.
Storage requirements:
1. Main game only 9.8MB
2. Campaigns 5.1MB
3. Scenarios 1.2MB
4. User manual 0.3MB
5. Intro video 4.0MB
A complete installation with all components takes up 20.4MB. Saved games typically require 150K to 300K each; however, large campaigns can require upwards of 700K per save.

you need to execute the program on your PC while connecting omnia on it. Then you should see a popup window on omnia asking you to select an install location you want

Hi, I also would like to know exactly how to install this on my omnia as I don’t want to do it wrong and cause problems! In what order should I execute the files as there are lots of different .exe files and also a crack .exe file, when should I run this one? Thanks in advance for any help with this

copy the given link to your webbrowser, and download the zip.
when downloaded on your pc, right click the zip file. and select extract here.
Now you will have a .cab and a crack.
download the cab, and innstall.
Follow instruction for crack.

Ok…
I have my omnia connected to the pc,
I open the rar file and extract,
than I make the install shield files run in my computer…..
Nothing happens,
the phone doesn’t ask me where to install it nor anything… If anyone can guess what is wrong here I would apreciate…

I got the game installed… run’s, but comes up as just a white screen.. i can hear the music playing for the intro in the back..

Guys, if you have a Pocket PC you should be reasonably competent at basic computer functions.
I would call this a ‘For Dummies’ walk through, but that would insult dummies, and I don’t want a half witted lynch mob on my ass.
Extract the RAR file. Use Winrar to do this, found at http://www.rarlabs.com
Run the file AOE_Setup.exe, on your computer. It will install the game and tell you next time you connect your device it will automatically install. Connect your device, and let it do just that. Choose My Storage as the target (on the PDA, when it requests the information)
Now run the rest of the AOE….exe files contained in the rar. This will install different components. Once they’ve all been done, move on.
Ok, now go back to where you extracted the RAR file, and open the folder called crack. See the file aoeppc.exe? We want to copy that to My Storage\Program Files\Games\MDM\Age of Empires and choose to over write the one that is currently there.
Thats it. Installed, no serial needed. Don’t like my attitude? Don’t use the guide

yea the people who claim to know what to do arent realizing why people are having a problem. same shit happened to me and i know what im doing. when i run the aoe_setup on windows xp it literally just opens installshield and then dissapears and crashes. nothing appears on the omnia and its connected to my PC correctly. i guess some of us are having some conflict with windows xp for some reason. this sucks because this is one of the best winmo games!!!

yeah i actually know what im doing, its just when i drag the setup files to my desktop and when i try and load them i get this error, “the instruction at “0×1001c193″ referdced memory at “0×60164000″. the memory could not be read”

For the white screen thing, i think when you start the game in its landscape? mode it will turn out like that.

Hiya, sorry to continue the botherfest, but I have an xperia X1 and a mac. Ergo, I can’t run the .exe file to pre-crack it before I put it on my phone. In other words, I see no way to get this thing to work without a simple registration code.
This game doesn’t require constant re-access of servers. It’s a freakin’ single-player RTS time-killer. Why are people so averse to posting a copy of one registration code on here? Then we could all use it, and kids like me wouldn’t have to bother Your Royal Guruness anymore.
Am I missing something?

Hello:-). I have a BIG problem with this game. i can’t use crack because i don’t have folder MDM in program files after instal. The game is running normally. I have OS with language: Czech (maybe it will be that problem. Some of folders are translated to czech language and a lot of programs aren’t count with this language.)
I now where i instaled it. But it isn’t there.
I used o lot of S/Ns. (XL04QU250LV5 CB0MX0DU09IW,…)
If u know anybody results, pls help me. I want to play this wonderfull game:-).
