Megaupload  TTS files for iGO8

These are UK and US English TTS packages for IGO8.0+8.3 (other languages posted as well). These are hi-quality voices 32kHz version.[ quality may vary]

Download Instructions: Simply copy the complete content inside the zip file to your iGo8 folder and overwrite any files it asks you to.

Then start up iGo8, go to Settings->Regional->Voice Language and select the TTS voice. If you did everything correctly, you should hear "Have a nice trip, drive carefully."

This package works with CE5.0, if somebody has CE4.2 DLLs please post them.

There are more languages available, again if you find them, post them.

All I want to do is add the tts voices to my iGO8. What files from your post do I need exactly just for that?

Here is what i am running. All US and Canada maps, DEM, English Language and Voice Files, American English TTS are included. if you want it for a different country you can copy your countrys maps etc. into their respective folders.

Installation Instructions:

Extract and Copy igo folder to storage card and rename folder to IGO8.3 
if you want to have igo installed somewhere else or you want the folder name to be different you can edit the sys.txt file accordingly. also if you are running on a device with a different resolution than the omnia i900/i910 you must modify the sys.txt file accordingly as well.

Once you have it copied and your sys.txt is modified to where you copied igo8, find igo8.3.4_117940.exe in igo folder and send a shortcut to programs if you want it to be easily accesible from the start menu.

On your first run, choose the language and voice you want. if you want the Text to Speech voice, you have to make sure its one of the languages that says (TTS) in the name.
Once it has launched, go in and set your gps com port and baud rate settings. For my omnia the settings are COM port 8 and 57600 baud rate, but it may be different for your device. you can try autodetect to find your gps receiver.

Once you have finished it, exit the program and delete the contents of the save folder in the igo folder. then run igo again and set it up all over again. if you dont do this, your device will most likely fail to find your gps driver at some point as igo tries to revert back to original settings and this version was ported from a different device.

Once you have finished that, you should be done.

So when I added the maps to my old igo8 (from a torrent with the 2557 folder that installs it) it says the maps are out of date. Any ideas?

it may be that the program is out of date and the maps are too new for the program.  igo 8.3+ only supports R3 and R4 maps. if the program is older than v8.3 that may be why.
