phone functions well, but i cannot access my datanetwork... i call verizon reprogram and it "redirects me then disconnects" no reprogramming thusfar... i'm going to keep trying... but this seems to be a problem. i hope it's just a temporary one... it appears just the data based things do not function right now. i cant use email, web, myphone, or anything like that. but calling and texts work just fine... any tips as to what to do?

hm, data connection works fine for me. which option did you choose when you dialed *228?

also have you tried checking the broadband access settings?

set to dial #777, connect using cellular line

i think the password is vzw but i may be wrong, if i'm wrong someone correct me.

actually, the problems all cleared up completely by themselves in the process of an hour of fiddling with it. no programming or anything required

i'm also extremely happy to see that changing the input mode is much easier. the base rom takes forever to open the scroll list between swype and others, but now it's just a matter of holding down the circle for a solid second.

i use a Celluon Laserkey, so quick input changes are a must for me.

i do, however have a major issue with screen alignment. even the remote alignment program seems to be inable to solve my problem. i activate that, use the "force align" feature, go through the screen several times (endless loop), reset the phone, then restore alignment settings and the alignment honestly does not improve. it's perfectly aligned about 1/5th of the way up from the bottom of the screen and everything focuses close to that point... i have to touch a half centimeter away from the scrollbox to move through my Text/MMS/Email lists... any ideas? is there a way i could give the remote alignment a predetermined alignment set of rules? i know you're supposed to be able to input alignment rules directly but i'm not sure how and i dont want to risk a messup (being inexperienced with most programming)

any tips?

there is a good chance your touch digitizer is going out.
i had the same problem except mine was on the left side of the screen. i had to literally touch the very edge of the screen to register clicking the start button and a's and s's were a bitch to type. i have the correct calibration data cooked in so the coordinates arent the problem. if you got your i910 through verizon less than a year ago i would flash stock cf03 and make sure it has the endless loop on screen alignment, take it down to verizon and show them that the phone won't go past align screen and they should hop on the computer and order you a replacement i910 for free if they dont have one in the store to replace it with. that's what i did when i got fed up with the screen on my omnia.
if it was over a year ago you'll probably have to pay $50 to get it replaced if you got insurance on the phone, or you can buy a digitizer and replace it yourself.

i'll try spb ms again when i can. i tried cooking a rom with spb before and it didnt work though for some reason. i know it's possible though because bgill55 (a.k.a. evidence) over at modaco built a working rom with spb ms. he used a trial version of spb though.

oh well, no more windows mobile phones for me i guess, getting a droid for my brithday hopefully. lates...

UPDATE: nevermind, fixed it...
            oh and, are there a couple of registry hacks you can use for your rom to force the system to stay at 256k colors?
            and swype keyboard isnt working for me, dunno why.

but to get swype to work properly, run IMSelector in the start menu, choose swype from the drop down box and hit ok then soft reset. swype should start up when the phone boots up from now on.
swype is working perfectly for me.

if you are having problems with mms such as recieving blank mms or not receiving them at all, as well as getting connection failed when trying to send an mms, then follow these instructions:

go to mms inbox. hit the menu button (right soft key)and scroll down to mms options. go the profile tab, select mms, and click edit profile. go to data connections and from the drop down box select broadband access.

that is the last major issue i have been trying to fix in my roms and its been in the rom the whole time! lol

the base build still does not having mms working though. i will cook a new version of the base rom with mms fix this evening so expect it later tonight or tomorrow.

edit: base build will be delayed, the kitchen on my desktop decided to lose some important files so i have to copy the entire kitchen over from my laptop. will be this evening before i can get around to cooking again.
