Java Game
Don’t like those cause they claim the main storage of the omnia which is only about 88 MB…
Never the less, one of the only java games worth to play on the omnia
There is still a question I never found an answer for…
Assuming that someone uses the 16GB version of the omnia with a 16GB SD-HC storage card. Then you’ve got around 30.000MB of free storage. But in fact, there is only 88MB of main storage aviable, in the 8GB as well as in the 16GB version.
In terms of figures, you will never fill this capacity with programs alone.
Around 50MB are already in use when you have just bought the omnia.
Each Java game claims around 600KB and each other programm, depending on its complexity, around 200-900KB for registry entries and other files (e.g. save games, user profiles, browser caches etc.). So, there are only aviable around 38MB for these things.
Everyone who is installing almost each software this great page gives to us, knows about the missing main storage.
So I do, having “only” the 8GB version with an 8GB storage card.
Indeed, I relocated the ring tones folder and clear the Opera browser’s cache regularly. Never the less, I have got storage space problems meanwhile^^
Can someone of you guys tell me how you fixed that problem?

Not to start a flaming war over someone being the first to post a comment. Granted you are 15 years old you should still know how to be mature. Just some advice you will always win an argument by not arguing at all.
Now back on topic. Cool game but I have been having trouble with Java games since the dawn of time. The SOUND never works! Every Java game is the same for me…it will say “Do you want sound?” and if I select “Yes” it crashes the game. I can only play it in complete silence. Lame. Anyone know a better Javascript other then JBlend? That’s what I’m using.

for smart phones,or windows based phones i never install any java apps….
it is blocking the phone memory…but that is only my experience….
i bought my first smart phone nearly 8 yr ago…..
since that….i never install java apps,or games..

With the release of the recent Verizon Omnia update that unlocks GPS you now also have a way to flash back to the stock ROM.
So you can flash to a custom ROM like Windows Mobile 6.5 and if you ever need to send your phone in just flash back to the CF03 stock ROM. Simple as that.
I feel bad for anyone who’s still running stock ROM on the Omnia. It’s almost mandatory to have WinMo 6.5 otherwise you’re missing out and not fully utilizing your phone. Better GUI, memory, speed, and kinetic scrolling in file explorer or any other menu.

okay, really sounds like i was missing something..
but is there a version in german, or are they all the same, can you choose your language? I’ve never flashed a new rom on my omnia.. and I dont want to anything wrong while doing it, cuz I really love my omnia..^^
is it true that all the datas and programs, messages, contacts will be deleted if you install a new rom? scares me from doing it, cuz I dont want to lose my contacts nd messages..:S

Go to http://www.samsung-omnia.org and you will find everything you need to know there. Go to the ROM Discussion and look for Adrynalyne’s Kitchen. The best thing for you is to flash to the Official Verizon CF03 rom and then flash from that to Adrynalyne’s WinMo 6.5 version 4.0 ROM which is based off of CF03.
As long as you follow the directions there is a 100% success rate. The only way to mess up your phone is if you don’t listen to what the tutorial tells you. I don’t know what you mean by selecting the Language? Never used a phone in anything but English lol.
The only thing that gets deleted during a flash is anything in “My Device”. Any files that you have on “My Storage” or a Storage Card won’t be touched. However, you can easily backup your contacts, call logs, emails, text msgs, etc by using one of the Backup programs on this very site. Verizon also has a free backup assistant program for members you can get it by going to their site.

Oh and also…the CF03 rom unlocks GPS for use with 3rd party programs so you can use it with stuff like Google Maps, Bing, or any of the GPS navigator programs on this site like iGo8 instead of paying $9.99 for VzNavigator.
If you just flash to CF03 you are still under warranty because it’s an official update from Verizon. However, CF03 is just the same as what you have with a few changes.
But the adrynalyne 6.5 roms are amazing and change everything and gives you windows mobile 6.5 which is way better. All the benefits I listed before so its worth it. But you must flash to CF03 first before flashing to the custom stuff since they are built off that.
Then if you have to send your phone in for whatever reason all you have to do is flash back to the official CF03 and its like you never put the custom ROM on your phone. Once you flash once you’ll see how simple it is and all those worries you have will be gone. I know how you feel…scared that you might mess it up and thinking it’s some crazy process. After I did it once I laughed at how easy it was and how it only took 5 minutes. After that I flashed like 10 times and never had a problem. There’s some COOL ROMs out there…my phone looks nothing like when I first got it now and I love it. Completely different interface…im using Manila2D version 2.0 now =) its awesome.

And flashed roms usually get rid of all things that aren’t necessary. So yes, some probably removed other languages. But win mo 6.5 is so much better than 6.1. it’s like switching from win 98 to vista.

The big ones are BlazingWolf and BGill. Although there are a couple new public releases that are worth noting (I liked WareMike’s build). There are some private ROMs out there (I don’t release mine, for example, because I cook in all my reg edits and game keys where possible so that I can just install without using keygens all the time) but the public ones are great.

ok people, i have this really really big problem. when i download the game from rapid share and extracted to my phone’s (omnia i900) storage card a folder appeared. In my phone it says “folder is empty” but when i plug it back into the computer there is all this junk i have no idea what it is. can anyone help me?????????? this happened to every game i downloaded so i dont have any games on my phone at all
